Iron Maiden Tour 2014 – Rumors – Ulteriori annunci la prossima settimana?
È ormai ufficiale il tour 2014 per gli Iron Maiden, i quali hanno annunciato proprio ieri le prime due date per il tour di concerti che si terrà il prossimo anno.
Gli Iron Maiden hanno annunciato, nella giornata di ieri, le prime due date per il tour 2014 che si terranno in Germania durande due dei principali festival tedeschi ovvero il Rock Am Ring e il Rock Im Park che si tengono rispettivamente nelle regioni della Renania e della Baviera (sud-ovest e sud della Germania). I due festival che si terranno dal 5 al 9 giugno 2014 vedono come headliner delle serate oltre agli Iron Maiden anche Metallica, Linkin Park e Kings Of Leon, spaziando quindi su una vasta gamma di generi e sottogeneri del rock e del metal, dal southern rock al thrash metal più spinto dei Metallica. Proprio questi ultimi hanno dichiarato sul loro sito che la prossima settimana altre date saranno annunciate per il loro tour estivo in Europa del prossimo anno. Di seguito l’annuncio:
After spending the better part of the last couple of years making our film Through The Never, we are so ready to make another album… it’s been far too long! And when we’re locked away in the studio, history has dictated that we always need that inspirational break to soak up all the great live Metalli-energy that you guys bring to the gigs. So as we may have done once or twice before (!!), we will be hitting the road this summer, but not just for another “European vacation”… we’ve added a twist – YOU PICK THE SET LIST!!
As we embark on two short treks through Europe, we’re going to give you, the ticket holders, the chance to vote on what songs you would like to hear at the show(s) that you attend. It will be pretty simple… pick up your ticket(s) online and you’ll receive an e-mail shortly after with a code and a link to a site on which you may cast your ballot. We normally play around 18 songs a night, and since we didn’t want to be left out of the fun, the band also gets to vote . . . and we vote for a NEW SONG! That leaves the other 17 slots for you to choose, so vote for all your favorites from the close to 140 songs we’ve recorded in our career and to make it more fun along the way, you’ll be able to follow what you and your fellow fans are selecting by watching the site for continuous results.
In true Metallica fashion, we don’t have all the shows ready for you just yet, but here are a few dates to get you started:
June 4, 2014 – Imtech Arena, Sonisphere – Hamburg, Germany, tickets on sale November 29 at 10:00 AM local time
June 5-8, 2014 – Rock Am Ring – Nürburgring, Germany, tickets on sale November 27 at 9:00 AM local time
June 6-9, 2014 – Rock Im Park – Nürnberg, Germany, tickets on sale November 27 at 9:00 AM local timeTickets will be available at www.eventim.de.

Sicuramente la band di Los Angeles sunerà anche in altri festival Europei tra cui probabilmente anche quelli italiani, ma non siamo qui per parlare del buon James e soci. La notizia è che la prossima settimana, nello specifico mercoledì 4 dicembre, verrà dato l’annuncio delle band partecipanti al francese Hellfest che si terrà a Clisson dal 20 al 22 giugno 2014. Come sicuramente ricorderete pochi giorni fa pubblicammo un articolo in cui si speculava sul fatto che una delle band headliner del festival francese fossero propio gli Iron Maiden per via di un non poco eloquente messaggio apparso sulla home page del sito del festival che riporta un chiaro richiamo ad una famosa canzone dei nostri amici inglesi. Colleghiamo quindi le due notizie; i Metallica la prossima settimana annunceranno altre date europee e le band partecipanti alla prosima edizione dell’Hellfest saranno svelate il 4 dicembre (la prossima settimana), si può quindi presupporre che due delle tre band che faranno parte del festival di Clisson siano proprio Iron Maiden e Metallica, vista anche la loro partecipazione congiunta ai due festival tedeschi. Sembrerebbe quindi che le due più grandi band del metal mondiale saranno in tour in Europa nello stesso momento. Possiamo quindi aspettarci che la prossima settimana compaiano nuove date degli Iron Maiden unitamente alle nuove date che annuncieranno i Metallica, infatti la news di ieri sul sito degli Iron Maiden riportava quanto segue:

Possiamo speculare inoltre sul fatto che sia imminente anche l’annuncio di una data in Italia, attualmente l’unico festival che sicuramente si terrà è il Rock In Roma, dal 27 maggio al 2 agosto 2014, e i Maiden potrebbero essere headliner ad una delle serate, magari nei primi giorni di giugno come di consuetudine.
Per quanto riguarda invece i due principali festival metal italiani, ovvero il Gods Of Metal e il Sonisphere Festival, non si sa ancora nulla se non che nel 2014 molto probabilmente si terranno entrambi. Nei rispettivi siti infatti è riportata la dicitura “See You In 2014”, tuttavia nulla toglie che Iron Maiden e Metallica possano suonare ad uno di questi festival. L’ultima volta che la band americana e i nostri idoli si sono esibiti sullo stesso palco risale al 2003 quando le band suonarono al Heineken Jammin’ Festival di Imola, anche quest’ultimo festival non è ancora stato annunciato e potrebbe rappresentare un’opportunità per vedere la nostra band preferita esibirrsi live, anche se tuttavia, vista la svolta soft che ha avuto il Jammin’ Festival negli ultimi anni e visto l’annullamento della scorsa edizione e la mancanza di notizie in merito tenderemo ad escludere questa possibilità.
Ovviamente tutto ciò che avete letto in precedenza sono soltanto ipotesi, anche perchè la band, nel caso venisse in Italia potrebbe finalmente intraprendere un mini tour di 2 o 3 date nei palazzetti, con meno pubblico ma con più date, magari in zone diverse (nord, centro e sud)… non ci resta quindi che aspettare, e sperare.
